A Little Bit About John Palmer
John spent 17+ years in radio working for both mainstream and "Christian" radio stations. His responsibilities ran the gamut, from on-air, to production, to music programming, to sales, and management. He's been a morning show host, co-host, and news anchor. He's been a talk show host, sports talk show host, sports color man, and national sports reporter. He was a Program Director, Music programmer, and Marketing and Sales executive. His experience includes increasing market share and creating new revenue streams for stations. He elevated struggling niche programming to new levels of listenership and respect.
He is probably best known for his pioneering work with the more 'progressive' side of the Christian music industry. His groundbreaking programming was at the leading edge of many of the "Contemporary Christian" music radio formats. His visionary work included cutting edge programming specifically targeted to the "youth culture" like rock, alternative, dance, and rap formats. His signature work was his nationally syndicated alternative music program, "Planet Palmer".
He also spent many years promoting concerts and ground breaking music events. He's a published writer, former publisher and editor of a local music newspaper, and may have the distinction of being the most quoted "Christian" radio personality in Cleveland history! He's been a requested public speaker for 18 years, a dynamic entertainer, and a Christian music "insider" since 1981.
Mr.Palmer has spent more than two decades in communications, marketing, media, advertising, and public relations. He's developed and implemented hundreds of advertising campaigns for dozens of companies, and is an outstanding script and copywriter. His ability to understand people and their needs is a key element of his success. His understanding of the subtle aspects of marketing in the real world are what make him valuable to the companies he works for.
John fancies himself a pretty sharp "man o' the links", and does have a pair of knickers in his closet, but lucky for him his next meal doesn't depend on how well he hits a 4-iron!

From 1981 to 2001, John Palmer was one of the nation's leaders in the progressive "Christian" music industry. Not content with either the musical or content status quo, he was always looking for more.
John worked his way up through the ranks from college radio, trade school radio & TV, club DJ, and professional major market commercial radio stations. Christian music embodied John's desire to be a cultural missionary and bring a radical and relevant message to his listeners.
John pioneered several rock and contemporary radio shows, and developed a market winning format and personality. On many occasions, John was able to demonstrate that his programs directly benefited the audience share of the stations which aired his shows.
In addition, John is the leading partner in a Cleveland DJ company. Fourth Dimension Sound has been serving weddings, parties, and church events for over 17 years. John has developed public speaking materials in his areas of expertise. He has spoken to College, High School, and Church groups about the industries of radio, entertainment, and Christian music.
John developed and syndicated a national radio show based on his ratings-winning format and style. This show was successful at producing ratings and revenue in the markets where it aired.
John has developed a modest digital recording studio and does professional production for broadcast, teaching, training, and entertainment clients.
